That does look sweet. I’ve found watching YouTube vids via the browser is too hard. Scrolling up and down just enough to see the whole thing is a delicate act and the full-screen buttons crash it for me. Bring on the Canola plugin!

Very nice. You can’t find all those videos on the iPhone, or bookmark them for off-line.

The fluidity of the vidéo is due to Canola ? Because, on my N800, watch vidéo of youtube with the browser is terribly slow …

Sneak Peek: Canola YouTube Add On | eHomeUpgrade said,

[…] Canola, as some of you know, is a powerful, third-party media centric front-end for Nokia Internet Tablets that allows it to manage and playback media files through an attractive, touch-based interface. One of the neat things about the platform is that it can be extended by Add Ons (aka plugins) that give it even more functionality. One of the latest Add Ons in the works is a YouTube extension that, as you will see in the attached video, not only integrates into Canola’s UI beautifully, but it also provides one of the best YouTube video playback experiences on a portable device. That’s terrific functionality. I’ll be very eager to get that plugin as soon as the canola team put it out there…Any ETA on it? The plugin will be very much appreciated.

I see it hasn’t been updated on this blog yet, but the Canola add-on is available already. It works great from what I’ve played around with. And you don’t automatically download the video everytime you watch it, like the other youTube app (that was annoying). You can add it here…
