My N770 is kind of slow with Python applications so I have been using Palm Bible instead of Rapier (it's search function works well, but GUI is not very responsive) with my tablet. So for me it's good news. And Handyshopper is a good idea also.

Good point on the ebooks ... eReader Pro is really nice and something I've missed for a long time on subsequent devices

I use Garnet for one thing: Handyshopper. I have yet to find a better shopping list manager on any deviice and it is the only Palm application installed on my tablet. It would be nice if Garnet had some sort of wrapper where I could just launch handyshopper, but I will definitely take the full screen improvement. That will be so much nicer than the tiny 1/4 screen space it was using before.

There are also some ebook formats still supported on Palm that are not available in maemo, so I may even look into those. Can´t really see using it for mail or PIM applications, though.
