I've been keeping an eye on this mobile project since my Palm T 5. I am glad it is starting to become a functional product. I guess Apple had a big impact on the direction of the project. Wish I had a Beta to run.

This is great and promising i would suggest a small button at the far left corner for show/hide the command keys , geeks will figure out the pan to show/hide very quickly but newbies want out of the box quickly using it without hitting the head against the wall to figure out to do simple browsing. SIMPLICITY IS PRODUCTIVITY COMPLEXITY IS UNPRODUCTIVE.
Firefox is widely use today because of simplicity whilst doing a good job fast, secure, clean ui,and the best today in my browsing experience

I just wish Nokia would sort out the browser in OS2008 as it's slow as hell, hangs and crashes often and in general just sucks.

They should have stuck with Opera rather than jump to an early version of microb.

The browser should be available from the package repository so it can be updated seperately from the rest of the OS

Wow, i hope it will run on an old 770. ;)
Is there already a test-version for x86? Will there be one? I would be really glad to have this on laptop (res: 1024x768).

(flash video)
It's webkit with a clutter backend, pretty impressive too.

This is overly complicated and not intuitive at all. Mobile browsing for me means open browser, enter URI, read page, follow link, follow link, get back, read on, close browser. You don't sit down and surf around with a mobile device just for the fun of it.

So whats wrong with this UI?

First thing you need is a place to enter the URI. Do you get it? No. You have tap on "+", which, as a symbol for "address/URI/website" is not really intuitive.

Whats worse is that the most important controls (back/fwd....) are hidden and you need to *know* what to do in order to make them appear at all. So actually this would be the very first browser I know that requires you to read the manual before using it. - Come on, you can do better than that! We don't need everything as different and complicated as possible. We need a browser that you open and work with.
